We are a family-run business that has been involved in the landscape gardening industry for over 50 years, with Gareth Martin leading the team for the past 27 years. We specialise in residential, commercial and industrial grounds maintenance across the North East and North West of England, covering County Durham, Cleveland, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Cumbria.
Our clients include Durham County Council, Durham and Darlington NHS Trust, Northern Trust (Whittle Jones), Workman LLP (Hansteen UK), Go Ahead Group, Johnson Tucker, KP Snacks, Northumberland Estates and Kingston Property Services. Sites we maintain include private housing estates, county house estates, hospitals, caravan parks, retail parks, business parks and industrial estates, to name but a few.
We own a range of specialist equipment, including a road sweeper, wood chipper, stump grinder, mini digger and a powered access platform, which is also available for hire with operator for roof surveys, gutter repairs, lighting repairs, high level cleaning and arboriculture work. All plant and equipment is well maintained and complies with health and safety regulations.
All employees are trained and qualified within their area of work, including NPTC chainsaw and climbing certificates, IPAF licences for MEWP operators, and NPTC PA1/PA6 certification for pesticide use. We carry out risk assessments and method statements, hold employers' and public liability insurance, and are Safe Contractor approved. We are also fully licensed by the Environment Agency for the transporting of controlled waste.
Our team includes Gareth, who manages day-to-day service provision; Louise, who manages administration and co-ordinates the horticultural side of the business; Alan, who ensures daily duties are carried out to the highest standard; Ryan, who runs our fully equipped workshop; and Jack, who is now in his third year with us.
Just to let you know we have received a compliment from a resident from one of the residential estates we manage to say that you carried out a magnificent job on site. Always nice to hear something good so thought I would pass it on!
